YOR Health Exposed!

If you or someone you know is looking to get started with YOR Health,

DO NOT GET STARTED UNTIL YOU READ THIS!!

Below is my story and what led to me creating this website.

View the shorter YOR Health summary article here.

My name is Shawn Lida and I was recently contacted by a member of YOR Health corporate about a forum post I made a while back. I was planning on writing a paper about YOR Health for my class, so I left my cell phone number on the forum and asked for people to contact me so I could find out more about this MLM scam.  I never thought that I would actually be contacted by someone from what I believed to be a fraudulent company operating an illegal pyramid scheme. I will refer to the YOR Health employee I was communicating with as “Alex”.

I have to say my heart was racing and I was a little lost for words at first. Alex seemed a little blunt at first, and asked me why I was so convinced that YOR Health was a Scam? I told him that I didn’t have to answer any of his questions. So he told me that maybe he could answer some questions for me.

At this time, I was trying to find the tape recorder I use for my classes during school, but since I was on summer break and had not used it for over a month, I could not find it anywhere, and I am sure it fell victim to my messy room. So I scrambled for a pen and paper to write down notes to post on the forum to further expose the YOR Health scam and the BS I was about to hear.

Having read and participated in a few yor health scam forums while researching the company, I felt confident that I was going to get some juicy information out of Alex. My first question to him was.

If you are so legitimate then why do people say your company is an Illegal pyramid scheme and a scam? Are they lying?

Alex explained that I first needed to understand the difference between a “true” network marketing company and a “pyramid scheme”. He told me, “A company that operates as a pyramid scheme pays their distributors money for recruiting other people and does not pay them for the sale of a product or service.” I then told Alex that was BS, and a pyramid is when you work in a company that puts you in a tree and you earn money when people buy stuff below you. He told me I was incorrect and to look it up online. So I did so and I guess I was just confused, I didn’t realize that the difference between a “legit” Multi Level Marketing company and a MLM “pyramid scheme” was that you have to have a real product and pay only on product sales and not recruiting.

He then told me that YOR Health is 100% not a pyramid scheme for many reasons, but the main reason is that, “YOR Health offers many great products which are supported by a long list of customer testimonials and scientific research. Yorhealth distributors earn money when they generate product volume by selling yor health products” Alex also claims that yorhealth “adheres to strict guidelines for their industry, and they work with one of the top MLM legal firms to make sure they are complaint.” I asked him if he could tell to me the name of the legal firm? Alex did tell me the name of the legal firm, and I told him I was going to call them, and make sure he was not lying to me. Alex said “Our Company has nothing to hide, in fact it is the opposite. We want people to know all the great things we are trying to bring to the world.”

I then told him that he did not answer my question about not being a Scam yet.

At this point Alex kind of chuckled… which kind of pissed me off, because even if they were a “legal” MLM company I still felt his company was ripping people off.

Alex said, “Let’s break it down and look at the facts” He then started listing off a bunch of things. I didn’t have time to write them all down but these are the ones I had a chance to write down.
1.)    No one has to pay any money to signup as retail customer. Anyone can buy our products at retail.
2.)    We offer a 30-day 100% money back guarantee on all our consumable products. “So if you try it and it is not for you send it back”.
3.)    “We have a top notch shipping center” and all orders are handled promptly.
4.)    We pay commissions checks on time every Monday for our distributor force
5.)    “People are seeing results with our products”
6.)    “People are finding success with our business opportunity”

He ended his statement with. “So you can try it first, if it is not for you, then you can get your money back, but if you like it you can take it to the next level and signup to be a distributor to share the products with others. So you tell me how YOR Health is a scam?”

At this point I told him that what he is telling me compared to all the stuff I was reading about the company online seems totally different. If what he was telling me was true, then why would people talk about things like lawsuits, and changing names and avoiding the authorities?

Alex starts by addressing the name changing to avoid authorities. He said he has “no idea way people fabricate these types of stories.” He went on to say “Think about it, do you think that a company that has had the same name since 2006 is really derailing the authorities? We have our phone number and address posted on our website, and on all the product shipping labels, if anyone wanted to get a hold of us they have more than a couple ways to do so…”

I did agree with Alex at this point that it did seem kind of silly that any company would be able to “dodge” authorities when their contact information right on the website, but I was quick to follow his response with, “So what about the lawsuits?” and Alex responded, “it is fairly simple to explain the misconception, lets first start with what you think you know about the lawsuit.”

Regarding lawsuits, I brought up that I knew for a FACT that yor health owners were found guilty of operating a pyramid scheme in the past, and that I saw official documents about this case.

Alex told me that first and fore most there was no admitting of guilt in the case that was filed. The case was settled out of court. There was however a dollar amount agreed upon and a list of disclosures and disclaimers that needed to be presented for all future people looking to join the business opportunity. I told him that I was under the assumption that the FTC closed the company down. Alex told me, “Your statement is entirely false”. He went on to say something along the lines of “The FTC just required that the appropriate disclosures and disclaimers are present in all applications and marketing materials, and that all prospective customers or distributors are aware of the disclaimers.” He went on to say, “It is all there in the case file, all you have to do is go to the end and see what is agreed upon”

I told him, “I am not buying it”…

Alex said, “Let me try explaining it to you a different way.” He said, “If you were going to go work for a company and you were worried about the ethics and practice of the company… would you rather work for a company that has never gone through any legal review? Or would you rather go work for one that was already put under the microscope by the government and came out with a clean bill of health and completely structured to comply with all the industries rules and regulations?”

At this point I was starting to see what Alex was getting at. I said to him, “So, the fact that yor health is still operating today is because the system they have built follows the guidelines specified by MLM regulators from this old case?” Alex said, “Correct, and that yor health is very in tune to the network marketing industry and any new rules or regulations that are put forth.”

At this point Alex told me he had another call coming in and he needed to put me on hold for a minute.

I have to say at this point I felt like an ass for having been so negative towards yor health. Alex seemed to have fairly strong answers for everything that I thought I knew was bad about YOR Health up to this point.

During my time on hold I found my recorder wedged between my bed and my nightstand, so I turned it on and put Alex on speaker phone. Also, while I was on hold I was trying to think of any additional questions I had for Alex. After about 2 minutes Alex came back on the line and asked if I had any remaining questions.

I told Alex that I had a question for him personally and not directly about YOR Health. He said, “Sure, fire away.” I started by asking him… “How can you sleep at night knowing that you are supporting a company that is promoting a failing industry?” Alex responded, “You think Dietary Supplements and Health Care Products is a failing industry?” I kind of laughed and said, “No, I was referring to network marketing.”

Alex also laughed and said, “Network marketing is very successful, and in fact I believe that MLM is the fairest business model out there.” I asked if he could explain that statement to me, “How can Network Marketing be the fairest business model out there?” Alex said, “It is very simple… MLM compensation plans are design to reward people for their production. They don’t reward people simply for having a college degree or fancy certifications. MLMs such as YOR Health rewards people based on production standards. This means if you do very little with an MLM company you should expect to earn very little. If you produce a lot you can expect earn a lot. As long as you meet the standard set by the pay plan you will get paid accordingly.”

Update: I didn’t really understand what Alex was saying at first, but since the call I realized that he was saying that once you reach/qualify for a certain pay level you are guaranteed to earn the money for that pay level. It is not based on anything other than your own performance.

I told Alex I still didn’t really understand what he was saying. I then stated, “If YOR Health and Network Marketing are so great then way do so many people FAIL in network marketing”

Alex said that he would refer back to the last question to answer this question. He explained that, “People typically don’t fail at network marketing, they quit. This concept is sometimes hard for people to understand at first but it is pretty simple actually. Because YOR Health rewards distributors for selling YOR Health products, and many distributors are finding success with our training and business model, it is only FAIR to say that the model works. Also, since the YOR Health offers every distributor that joins our company an entirely EQUAL playing field for success, and equal rules, regulations, and compensation plan for selling our products, it is only FAIR to say that people who do not succeed more than likely quit on the system, but the YOR Health system did not quit on them.”

I told Alex that I have never been a fan of MLM, and in fact I spent the last few months hating on MLM, BUT Alex seemed to be doing what no other person ever had been able to do… ALEX WAS ACTUALLY EXPLAINING TO ME WHAT NETWORK MARKETING IS and why so many people do it.

I only had a couple more questions that I wanted to address with Alex before I ended the call.

My next question to him was, Does yor health really have a compliance department, and do you really investigate cases like you say you do on the forums?

Alex answered, “Yes, YOR Health has a compliance department, and all compliance issues are of the utmost importance to our company. We make sure to investigate all cases that are filed, as well as any cases we find indirectly on places such as forums.”

Has your compliance department ever terminated a yor health distributor?

Alex stated, “Unfortunately yes.” I said, “Why is that unfortunate? If they are breaking the rules then they should be removed right?” Alex said, “Of course. The reason why it is unfortunate is because our company offers a great plan for people to spread health and wellness and potentially earn true wealth if they are willing to follow and commit to the plan. AND we go to great lengths to support the distributor force in everyway possible, BUT even despite that some do feel the need to go outside the distributor guidelines… If that is the case we will not hesitate to issue sanctions or terminate a person’s distributorship with our company.”

I felt kind of bad about the last question I asked Alex, but I was curious to see how he was going to answer it. I asked, “Why does YOR Health have so many haters?”

Alex explained to me that, “MLM companies in general have trouble with people who don’t understand Multi Level Marketing. Many of the haters out there never even try network marketing, or they try it but give up or fail to commit to the program. YOR Health may have a different product and compensation plan than other MLM companies out there, but the haters are out there for all MLMs. Most of the time they are simply uninformed, and because MLM is not the traditional business model they grew up learning about, many are quick to point at the failures of others, rather than understand that MLM is truly an incredibly fair and viable business model to be a part of.”

Alex went on to say, “THAT BEING SAID…There are MLM companies out there that DO truly cross the line with product claims and income claims. YOR Health IS NOT one of them. Our company takes great pride in the products and opportunity that we have brought to the world, and on top of that the time commitment and dedication of our corporate team and distributor base to ensure that we are promoting YOR Health above and beyond what is simply required by the regulators of our industry. Our products are safe and effective, and our opportunity is compliant, fair, competitive and rewarding, and because of that people should feel confident that YOR Health is a solid MLM company to be apart of.”

In closing, I thanked Alex for spending the time to answer my questions and concerns I had with YOR Health. Alex closed with, “You are more than welcome. Hopefully one day more people will understand the great things that Network Marketing can bring to the masses, and what YOR Health is working to bring to the world. Feel free to contact our customer care department at 949.681.6088. We will be here to answer anymore questions that you might have.” I thanked him again and we ended the call.

SO, after the call I started reviewing my notes and I really had a lot on my mind. I called one of my closets friends to talk to her about the conversation. It was at the point when I was relaying it back to her that she said to me, “Wow, It seems like you really had no idea about this company.” At first I was kind of offended by what she said to me, because I figured she would understand where I was coming from. But she was right. I was basing all my questions on random stuff I had gathered online. She then asked me if I had posted anything false or malicious about the company online. I told her nothing too bad, but I did feel bad for what I did post. She suggested that I remove my posts or maybe post something good about YOR Health. We discussed the topic for a few more minutes and then we moved on to a different topic. (A new viral video =D)

Now fast forward to the PRESENT…

Some time has passed since the call I had with Alex, and for the past couple months I have been researching MLM companies as kind of a side project or even “hobby” as scary as it sounds. It is now fall, and I am back in school. About 3 weeks ago I approached the professor who taught the class I was planning on writing the YOR Health paper for. I let him know that I have a new outtake on Multi Level Marketing, as well as the standard business model. Having talked to him before about the paper, he seemed very interested as to how I had changed my mind on something I seemed to adamant about in the past.

In short, he gave me the idea to create this website, and to blog about what I found out about YOR Health and Network Marketing. I plan on using this site to research YOR Health as well as other network marketing companies, in an effort to figure out the TRUTH behind them.

I would like to thank Alex personally for taking the time to shine some light on the subject for me. I would also like to thank Kimmie, James R., and Prof. P for helping me setup the website, and inspiring me to take action to “right some of the wrongs” that I have made online.

Thank you for reading I hope this article helped answer some questions that you might have about YOR Health. Be sure to check back I will continue to update this website for at least the remainder of this school session.
